Changing Colors

Changing Colors

It is better to change colors without knotting.

Adding new color in middle of work:

Complete stitch of first color except for the very last pull through. Hook the new color and pull through to finish the stitch. With new color, include both tails (first and new colors) to crochet over with next stitch. Cover old color completely, but leave a tail on the new color to weave backwards into first few stitches of new color, with embroidery needle.

Adding new color at end of row:

Complete stitch of first color except for the very last pull through. Hook the new color and pull through to finish the stitch. With new color, chain turning chain. This leaves both color tails on side of work. When finishing project with edging, include both tails (first and new colors) to crochet over.
